Innessa’s musical adventure began with a passion for writing poetry at the tender age of eight. Her poetry was filled with vivid observations of her home surroundings in central Russia.
At the age of nine, she was invited to join a local choir. It was here where her lifelong relationship with music and performing was born. After several years of expanding her vocal talents, Innessa was introduced to the guitar. By the age of 16, she had combined her poetry, singing and guitar skills, and started performing original compositions.
The day Innessa finished university, she packed her guitar and set off to explore the world, as well as the world of music. She has lived, studied and performed music at the Black Sea and in Moscow, Egypt, Spain and the USA. She is now happily settled in Australia.
Since her arrival in Australia, Innessa has released three albums: Innessa, Folkloria and Love-n-Jazz.
Innessa has performed at some of Australia’s largest festivals, such as the Canberra Multicultural Folk Festival and the Woodford Folk Festival.
