BIJF introduces Fully Transferable Festival Pass in 2018
The 6th instalment of the acclaimed Brisbane International Jazz Festival (BIJF) is back from May 31 to June 5 and this year BIJF is pleased to announce a Fully Transferable Festival Pass providing access to all 4 concerts at the Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC), PLUS attendance to the Gretchen Parlato vocal workshop.
A Full Price Festival Pass is only $145 and a Concession Festival Pass is $100. The Festival Pass allows holders access to all four performances, of which 2 are double bill concerts.
- Thursday, May 31 – BIJF presents the Enthusiastic Musician’s Orchestra
- Friday, June 1 – BIJF presents Sam Anning Sextet and Kristin Berardi Duo (DOUBLE BILL)
- Sunday, June 3 – BIJF presents Zac Hurren Quartet & Sophie Min piano solo (DOUBLE BILL)
- Tuesday, June 5 – BIJF presents Gretchen Parlato flor
The QMC Festival Pass is fully transferrable, which means if you cannot make all the gigs at QMC, you can share your pass with a friend or family member. One Pass = One attendee.
Remember you will need to prove your concession status.
The Festival Pass also allows you attendance to the Gretchen Parlato vocal workshop on Tuesday, June 5 at 3pm.
Renowned for technical brilliance and a crystalline voice, LA born vocalist Gretchen Parlato fuses jazz with undertones of Brazilian and African beats displaying the unique and seductive vocal style she has perfected.
Throughout her 20-year career Grammy nominated Parlato has been working with contemporary jazz legends including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Esperanza Spalding and Terence Blanchard, mesmerising audiences from Japan to New York with pristine phrasing and inventive interpretations of jazz standards.
