Art 4 All

Her Hands

BEMAC provides assistance to women from migrant and refugee backgrounds through the development of a sustainable handicraft practice,  which includes the creation of objects of significant cultural value enabling cultural heritage practices to be maintained and rejuvenated in SE Queensland.

BEMAC also contributes with raw material and tools such as weaving looms and thread, locally harvested sisal and papyrus, synthetic fibres, yarns, clay for pot making, beads and jewellery tools etc fostering women crafts skills.

If you are a visual arts crafts woman or a group, or if you know any more recent refugee and migrant women and groups that we may be able to consider for assistance, please  email projects@bemac.org.au
