Formed in 2017, ForrobodOz has been thrilling and entertaining audiences at the heart of Brisbane’s Forro’ scene with their vibrant performances. Playing the best of the genre with some original compositions, the band has performed extensively and debuted at Woodford Folk Festival in 2019.
ForrobodOz plays “Forró”, the vibrant music from the North-eastern region of Brazil. Lucia Medeiros (voice and hand percussion), Mircha Mangiacotti (guitar), Ricardo Bona (accordeon) and Claudio Climaco (zabumba/drums) combine their passion for “Forró” to bring this groovy, contagious rhythm to you.
Forrobodó means “great party” or “commotion”, so prepare your dancing shoes and join them on this musical trip to Brazil.
