Connect with BEMAC:
Join us on Monday 23 September for BEMAC Discover, an open mic night to celebrate the importance of art, music and creativity in our lives and our community. This space will focus on sharing and testing out new work! We invite artists from all backgrounds and languages to showcase and share! Entry is free… bring your instrument, poem, monologue or dance and sign up to take part in the open mic at the door on arrival!
This event is presented in collaboration with The Music Cub, a diverse collective of musicians from the QUT. The Music Club was founded at QUT in 2017 and provides a space for students from all around the world to express themselves through music.
This event will follow BEMAC Discussions: The Ethics of Sharing the Personal, a free thought-provoking panel discussion about the multifaceted experiences of diaspora, exploring themes of nostalgia, cultural identity, and the search for belonging. Featuring Kata Tominaga, Kuweni Dias Mendis, Liesl Zink, Minney Richani and Prita Tina Yeganeh (Moderator).
