Proudly presented by the Korean Cultural Centre Australia and BEMAC, Ongals: Babbling Comedy are coming to the Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC) in Brisbane on 6 November for a FREE show!
The Ongals are Korea’s hit sensation comedy group who started out in 2007 as a segment on KBS’s “Gag Concert”, Korea’s longest running comedy show.
Since then they have taken the world by storm and have performed for some of the most recognised festivals including the Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the OzAsia Festival. Be prepared to be mesmerised as they hold their first ever Brisbane concert to wow the audience with world-class juggling, miming and beatboxing for a hilariously belly aching good time!
“There’s serious skill on stage (especially the masterful Ongal with the specs) and absurdity keeps this high-energy show laughtastic for grownups and kids.” – Sydney Morning Herald.
“ONGALS are side-splittingly hilarious Korean clowns who communicate in gibberish and look like a gang of giant, marauding K-Pop babies in pastel pyjamas — even when they’re juggling knives. Imagine absurd, Three Stooges-style status relationships, boisterous physical comedy and gestural language, then add alarmingly dangerous stunts and audience participation all performed in nonsense language with the occasional, discernible English word.” – Herald Sun
