Pasifika Film Fest and BEMAC present Panguna & Power Meri

28/09/2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Pasifika Film Fest (PFF) is proud to partner with BEMAC on its return to the Australian film festival circuit in 2018. PFF showcases a variety of Pacific cinematic content, showcasing the diversity of storytelling through the eyes of talented creatives from across Oceania.

This selection of short films raise discussions about life in the Pacific.

Sydney emerging filmmaker Carmen Smith’s film Panguna will debut on the film festival circuit with a personal story that investigates how Veronica (Smith’s mother) navigated her way through conflict with a white Australian husband on one side, a warring village deep in the islands of Papua New Guinea rebelling against a gold and silver mine and her family’s disapproval of
her new found love.
