BEMAC proudly presents Afrobeat as a part of BEMAC’s Culture Club Series
Afrobeat is a percussion group created to teach the groove of Brazilian Carnival Drumming!
Classes are conducted by Marcelo Rosciano from Brazil, who studied with MONOBLOCO Group, especially with the masters: C.A. Ferrari, Master Maurão, Junior Texeira and Mestro Celso Alvin.
The basic concepts of Afrobeat classes, it’s work in a fun environment with instruments of Brazilian Carnival Samba School, which are: Surdos, Caixa ,Repique, Tamborim, Agogo and Chocalho.
The most popular Brazilian rhythm is Samba and it will be our musical base. Adjustments have been created for others rhythms like Funk, Ijexa, Xote and other Afro-Brazilian beats.
