BEMAC ILLUMINATE: A Window to Exploration – visual art exhibition
01 Sep - 30 Sep 2020 | Tuesday 9:00am to 5:00pm
A Window to Exploration is an art exhibition by Manudilo, which explores the concept of looking into four windows, and four perspectives of how the artist sees the world: A window for imagination. A window for introspection. A window for adventure. A window for exploration.
Exploration and travel is the main idea behind this exhibit. The artist’s style is a journey to a destination, with this exhibit showcasing what is through the ‘windows of the train’. Through these windows the artist portrays his imagination, his thoughts, his ideas, and his learnings – all influencing the direction of his journey.
“Too late to discover the world, too soon to explore the universe”, but what about myself and the way I see the world I am living in?
About the Artist
Manudilo (Manuel) is a Spanish Illustrator who after working as an advertising executive for a few years in Madrid, decided to hang up his executive hat and follow his new calling in illustration and graphic art. Manuel’s themes and techniques are rarely constant, where he takes on opportunities to experiment with new styles, brushes and textures.
The main idea behind his work is exploration in all its ways and forms. This was his first step as an explorer, a yearning to discover the world in which he lives, including people, moments, and actions. His curiosity and his travels eventually brought him to Australia where Manuel continues to explore not only the world that surrounds him, but also the artist he is evolving into.
