Brisbane International Jazz Festival presents: Joshua Redman Quartet (USA)

USA tenor saxophonist Joshua Redman is one of the most renowned and captivating jazz artists of his generation. With technical mastery, expansive tone and audacious spirit Redman heralds a new sound that redefines the boundaries of modern jazz.

Double Grammy-nominated Redman has consistently received top honours in critics and readers polls of Down Beat, Jazz Times, The Village Voice and Rolling Stone and he has recorded and performed with legendary artists from a multitude of musical genres and styles such as Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Yo Yo Ma, Pat Metheny, B.B. King, Dewey Redman, Stevie Wonder and The Rolling Stones.

Two Brisbane shows of the Joshua Redman Quartet feature the expertise of the new giant of the tenor saxophone Joshua Redman, the phenomenal finesse of pianist Aaron Goldberg, the energetic articulation of bassist Reuben Rogers, and the dexterous skills of drummer Gregory Hutchinson.
