Among them are some "balikbayan," individuals who have returned home after living, working, or studying abroad, sharing tales of their lives in Australia. The show delves into the themes of reconnecting with one's homeland and embracing a migrant lifestyle.

Kuweni Dias Mendis ‘Reverberations’

Reverberations chronicles artist Kuweni Dias Mendis’ journey of belonging as a migrant woman of colour and culture in Australia. This multisensory arts experience begins with screening the artist’s biographical film followed by live performance art with live music, movement, and mark-making. Lucky Lartey’s ‘Exoticism’

An exploration of exotification and contemporary masculinity which delves deeply into the collective lived experience of people with diverse backgrounds, performed by Lucky Lartey, who also choreographed the work, and Vishnu Arunasalam. In this dance work, Lucky and Vishnu reclaim their identity, deconstructing and reconstructing the notion of what diverse contemporary work is expected to look like.
