Himalayan Film Festival

The Himalayan Film Festival showcases a selection of films about the Himalayan people and the culture, exploring themes of compassion, pilgrimage, occupation, love, peace, migration, environmental justice and human rights. 

In its second edition, the Himalayan Film Festival welcomes the recently appointed representative of the Dalai Lama in Australasia, Mr Lhakpa Tsoko as special guest.

The foyer of the QMC will transform into a busy Himalayan hub, with arts and craft stalls and regional food available to enjoy between films and chats.

Session One – 12:00pm – Nine-story Mountain & Scent of Juniper (Double Feature) 

Session Two – 2:30pm – Bringing Tibet Home 

Session Three – 6:00pm- When Hari Got Married + Dinner

*PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ON-LINE TICKET PURCHASES WILL CEASE AT 11AM SATURDAY 6 SEPTEMBER.  QMC BOX OFFICE WILL BE OPEN FROM 11.15AM AND PURCHASES CAN BE MADE OVER THE COUNTER.  TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE BUT SELLING FAST SO PLEASE COME EARLY!
