Inspiring Film Night – GMO OMG
15 Sep 2014 | Monday 6:45pm to 9:00pm
We all know we are what we eat. But do you know what you’re really eating?
Before the film, you can get a delicious, raw organic (and GMO-free!) meal from Realistically Raw You, a healthy drink and check out some exhibitors who are passionate about healthy, sustainable living. After the film, we’ll have a Q&A panel of special guest speakers and an informed discussion about the GMO situation in Australia.
Knowledge is power – make sure you know what’s really in your food! Whether you’ve been following what’s happening with GMOs for sometime or you don’t even know what it means – there will be something in this night for everyone! Bring your family, bring your friends, let’s come together to understand what’s really happening to our food so we can make better choices and take back control of our health!
(Please note: there is no ATM at the venue)
ABOUT THE FILM
GMO OMG director and concerned father Jeremy Seifert is in search of answers. How do GMOs affect our children, the health of our planet, and our freedom of choice? And perhaps the ultimate question, which Seifert tests himself: is it even possible to reject the food system currently in place, or have we lost something we can’t gain back?
These and other questions take Seifert on a journey from his family’s table to Haiti, Paris, Norway, and the lobby of agra-giant Monsanto, from which he is unceremoniously ejected. Along the way we gain insight into a question that is of growing concern to citizens the world over: what’s on your plate?
