Singout Sista Concert Series presents: Ngaiire & Lester The Fierce
03 Oct 2013 | Thursday 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Ngaiire is one of the country’s most unique and dynamic vocalists and performers.
Adventuring through a long musical journey of discovery from folk soul to jazz hop to indie pop to everything in between, Ngaiire has finally settled on an eclectic sonic identity that is uniquely hers, and with great delivery, reflected through her long-awaited and highly anticipated debut album, ‘Lamentations’ released in June this year.
Ngaiire sets apart from other singers with her peculiar vocal arrangements and rare sense of soul reminiscent of vocal greats gone by.
“She has blossomed into oen of the most interesting artists this country has to offer” – Paul Mac
Lester The Fierce is Anita Lester; a Melbourne based singer who writes about love, sex, death and the weather. Anita has been a silent fixture in the Australian music scene, making a name for herself with her haunting voice, ghost-writing for many artists as well as being the singer of folk-pop band Me and The Grownups. Lester The Fierce will be the opening act on the night.
