APAM – Professional volunteering opportunities available
Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) is taking place at Brisbane Powerhouse from 18 – 22 February 2014 and there are volunteering opportunities available as part of the 2014 APAM Ambassador program.
APAM is the premier industry event for contemporary performing arts in the Asia-Pacific Region and introduces presenters and producers to the latest productions and works in development from Australia and New Zealand. In 2014, 2016 and 2018, APAM will be presented by the Australia Council for the Arts in partnership with Brisbane Powerhouse. Over the five days of APAM, Brisbane Powerhouse will be the hub for all activities and performances, with additional events being held across a network of local partner venues including the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, the Queensland University of Technology Gardens Theatre, and the Queensland Conservatorium at Griffith University.
The APAM team have developed a strategic plan to streamline the 2014 APAM Ambassadors involvement as much as possible to ensure each and every volunteer gains real experience that can be used in a variety of industries and uses the opportunity to expand their professional networking and industry contacts.
