Bonnie Melrose

With a key role in the Arts in Health Program at Children’s Health Queensland (CHQ) Bonnie Melrose ensures a diverse range of visual art, interactive creative events and performances provide warmth, support, and engagement to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people, families and CHQ staff. Bonnie and Arts in Health Leader Lynne Seear also provide a range of arts in health consultancy services to other health facilities, including arts integration in infrastructure, curating collections, and providing strategic advice, research and best practice methodologies for Arts in Health initiatives.

Bonnie has over 20 years’ experience in the arts sector, including via curatorial roles at Redland Art Gallery and social justice gallery Adderton: house & heart of mercy, in Touring Exhibitions at peak body Museums & Galleries Queensland and in Public Programs and Education at the Ipswich Art Gallery. Bonnie is passionate about Arts in Health and making arts experiences inclusive, accessible, meaningful and fun.
