BEMAC announced the Creative Confluence Season 2 artistic program.

Ten original productions and three discussions will make up the second season of BEMAC’s 2024 program between 19 August to 16 November.

The Creative Confluence program is drawn from applications of contemporary artists working across music, dance, poetry, performance art, theatre, and visual art.

BEMAC’s popular free-monthly Discussions series will also return to foster dialogue and exploration for creators and artists across diverse cultural backgrounds.

Producer Eyal Chipkiewicz said “Our efforts are focused on throwing doors wide open for diverse creativity, challenging homogeneity and celebrating the powerfully meaningful creative confluence we so clearly see all around us.”

BEMAC has developed new partnerships to present to wider audiences at VENTspace, Thomas Dixon Centre, Studio 188, Kingston Butter Factory, Queensland Multicultural Centre, and Melt Festival of Queer Arts and Culture.

BEMAC Program Manager Hannah Attwood says “Our goal is to inspire people from all backgrounds, enhance community life, and affirm that art is for everyone, with the potential to positively transform society.”

“The success of the previous season has led to significant audience growth and deeper community engagement, further highlighting the impact of these talented artists”.
