Kristal West, proud Piadram, Manbarra, Palawa and Nywagi songstress and granddaughter of legendary First Nations’ land rights activist, Dr. Eddie Koiki Mabo, who eventually had the legal doctrine of terra nullius overturned and Dr. Bonita Mabo AO, staunch black rights activist, sings of her upbringing, the Mabo case, country storylines and the importance of culture, language and identity as a First Nations’ person.

To celebrate the release of her latest album “Golden Wreath”, Innessa performs a thoughtfully crafted concert of her new music, with the whimsical, enigmatic elements that are core to her style. For this performance, she will be joined by ethnic multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Drozdovskii (balalaika, accordion and violin), and special guest the Sunshine Coast Oriana Choir.
