An exciting collaborative performance between world class trio ‘Gosti’ – Linsey Pollak, Philip Griffin, Tunji Beier – and three special guests – Nawres Al-Freh, Takako Nishibori, Geoffrey Tjakamarra – creating together fresh, new music tinted by the cultural and musical influences they all bring along.
Zannah and Camarón de la Vega join forces for a groundbreaking musical voyage that transcends genre boundaries; a rich tapestry of shared musical passion weaving pop, Latin and Celtic influences with Flamenco rhythms and jazz nuance.
A rare glimpse into the spiritual facets of Afro-Cuban music and dance, a living cultural expression often overshadowed by an exoticised image of Cuba. Featuring the rarely heard batá drums and a world-class cast of dancers, traditional practices and contemporary interpretations forge a modern Cuban-Australian identity.
A musical program that will take you on a journey through the experience of two extraordinary musicians who made her way to Australia from their birthplace in Bangladesh: Rozana Azad and Avijit Sarkar’s melodies will explore themes of separation, hope, joy and love that are integral to the migration experience.

Anis, a visual and public artist with an extensive trajectory in her home country Chile, visits Brisbane in late March to take part in a microresidency with BEMAC (March 23 to 29) comprising workshops, talks and an exhibition at the Queensland Multicultural Centre.
