Sean's artworks have drawn inspiration from the vibrant and diverse world around him, capturing the energy and beauty of nature and urban landscapes in his captivating paintings. Opening 7:00pm, Friday January 20.
To start off BEMAC's 2023 program, iconic singer/songwriter, guitarist, didgeridoo player Joe Geia takes us through his 40-year career writing and performing songs that tell of Indigenous activism, resistance and transformation.
A sublime bamboo flute duo by Murali Ramakrishnan and Darshil Shah, highlighting the interconnections between the music of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, serves as an urgent reminder of the need for sustainability, the first step toward which is clearing the clutter in our minds.
Featuring Indigenous Didge player Geoffrey Fabila, Iraqi Kemanche player Nawres Al Freh, Tibetan Nomadic singer Tenzin Choegyal, Cachicamo Latin Harp from Colombia, Turkish Saz player Kemal Calliskan, Greek poet Daphne Alexopoulou, Spanish guitarist Andrew Veivers and headliners, Beier Griffin Pollak Trio.
