A sonic adventure that quotes from Middle Eastern, Turkish, Balkan, Flamenco, Latin and Jazz traditions to create exquisite, melodic and meditative grooves and enchanting, immersive soundscapes that evoke emotions and harness the power of music to uplift and heal.
Led by acclaimed Persian-Australian tar player and composer, Hamed Sadeghi, the ARIA nominated Eishan Ensemble draws on contemporary and classical music traditions of both East and West.

The first of BEMAC's free, monthly panel discussions. This conversation will explore what it means to live and work on a land that has been cultivating culture for tens of thousands of years, and how to meaningfully honour our place and responsibility on stolen land. Followed by BEMAC Discover, an open mic night to celebrate the importance of art, music and creativity in our lives and our community. Both are free to attend.

Do you get nervous or anxious when speaking in public? Whether it's presenting your work or delivering a speech, public speaking can be a daunting experience. Join us for a free two-hour workshop with performer Amer Thabet. Amer will draw on his experience and training to help you develop confidence in public speaking and pitching your ideas.
On April 21, BEMAC will open its latest exhibition, ‘From the Land of Silence’, a series of canvas-printed poems by Mohammad Ali Maleki written during his time as a detainee on Manus Island.
Interweaving music, narration and visuals, Tenzin Choegyal continues his exploration of the five elements. This national premiere draws on the strong allegory of the ocean to express a deeper sense of peace, strength and emotional connection, with Cye Wood, Takako Nishibori and a Taiko ensemble led by Kaya Tominaga.
